Nineteen-year-old Clive was working on a dairy farm when he fell heavily while chasing piglets, triggering his pre-existing heart condition. His heart stopped beating for 2.5-3 minutes according to the farmer who had witnessed two deaths previously and noted Clive made the same death rattle. During cardiac arrest, Clive found himself standing alone on an unfamiliar landscape with gently rolling terrain, exposed fractured rocks, yellow-brown vegetation, and low tussocks with lichens. The sky had clouds with an odd greenish tinge on the horizon. He felt very calm, content, and curious, able to move his head and torso but never taking steps. After what seemed like 20-30 seconds, he became immobilized. The ground 8 meters ahead began moving in a semicircle, revealing 6-7 thick-set elephant-like creatures without trunks or ears that were made of rock itself. These aggressive beings started stomping toward him, making the ground shake. After four steps closer, Clive woke up terrified, lashing out and hitting the farmer giving him CPR. The initial peacefulness contrasted sharply with the terrifying ending. Years later he had a pacemaker fitted for Sick Sinus Syndrome. Twenty-three years later, while asleep, he returned to the same landscape where a friend dead for a decade appeared happy and relaxed, grasping his shoulders and telling him not to worry, that he was doing fine.
