Cheryl experienced an NDE during a CT scan when she had an allergic reaction to contrast dye. Immediately after the injection, she felt strange and found herself in a dark void that was comforting rather than scary. She felt completely at ease knowing she was dead, with all worries gone, reclining in the most comfortable place. Two feminine beings stood behind her, seeming confused about her presence but loving and concerned. She observed small starlike lights passing by, intuitively knowing these were other souls moving on while she remained stationary. Remembering her newborn daughter Wendy, she wondered if the baby would be okay without her. The beings seemed relieved to have something to do and assured her Wendy would be fine, instantly showing her a vision of the baby at the babysitter's house where three women were caring for her. Satisfied with this vision, she immediately returned to her body, shouting "I'm back!" The nurse responded dismissively, so Cheryl stayed quiet as they completed the scan. No medical staff ever acknowledged that anything had happened. The experience left her with lasting joy and the complete absence of nearsightedness during the NDE, despite being nearsighted her entire life. She felt the two female beings were somehow related to her.
