Catherine experienced an NDE during a C-section delivery when she went into cardiac arrest. While in the operating room, she suddenly found herself floating in the air, unable to breathe, and panicking about being alive without breathing. As she rotated and moved upward, she discovered she could see through walls with amazing clarity. She watched the doctors trying to resuscitate her body below. Realizing she could not speak audibly, she communicated through thought, pleading with God that she could not die before seeing her baby. Immediately upon this prayer, she felt herself thrust back into her body. Though paralyzed by anesthesia and unable to see or move, she reached out to the male doctor on her left whom she had seen during her OBE. He held her hand saying he would not leave her alone while everyone celebrated her return. She remained fearful and required a nurse by her side for several days afterward. Years later during another pregnancy with complications, she witnessed a bright oval door open and a transparent being of light remove her baby, later confirmed as a blighted ovum. These experiences led her to devote herself to understanding spirituality and she reports having many prophetic experiences about the future.
