Estelle developed acute myeloid leukemia with 92% cancer cells in her blood in June 2021. In intensive care, doctors struggled for hours to insert catheters for blood filtration that would save her life. Around 10:30 PM, a diaphanous light invaded the room, intensifying and superimposing onto the physical world - soft, pure, wonderful, and shiny but not dazzling. She felt this light was pure love, experiencing supreme well-being, immense joy, and her body becoming so light she no longer felt it. She remained aware of the medical team but everything was bathed in light. She felt three presences on her right - one close, two behind - radiating love. She received the message: "It's not your time yet, but you have a choice whether to stay or not. Know, however, that if you decide to stay, everything will be fine." Thinking of her children, she chose to stay. Immediately upon deciding, the light disappeared and doctors succeeded in placing the catheters. Her body temperature had dropped to 33-34°C, near death. She spent four days in intensive care before recovering. Her daughter, who had been suicidal, got treatment shortly after and recovered. The experience eliminated her fear of death and gave her profound gratitude. Despite the cancer returning, she faces treatment with complete faith that everything happens as it should.
