Douglas experienced a medical crisis in April 2022 with dangerously low blood pressure (60/40) and loss of consciousness. His perception of time distorted - what seemed like two hours was actually ten minutes. He told his wife "I feel like I'm leaving" before the ambulance arrived. During transport, his head moved uncontrollably with the ambulance motion. He consciously decided to "give up his spirit" and entered a dark space with no emotion, time, or spatial orientation, though his intellect remained. The darkness developed a dark brown hue. Upon exiting, he saw the space was rectangular with rounded edges, with a tunnel of white spinning clouds to its left. A black transparent circular mass appeared at the tunnel entrance, moving toward him with immense power and size. Fearing he was being prevented from entering heaven, he retreated to the dark space and began praying. He realized he held grudges and had hurt others without making amends. When told to choose between death and continuing life, he was shown emotional projections of future years. He chose life, but nothing changed until urgently told "You need to ASK!" Halfway through thinking "please," his seizure ended. He experienced a two-hour seizure with wild head movements but no brain damage, which doctors considered medically impossible. The experience led him to forgive more and reach out to those he had wronged.
