Robin was donating blood on her college campus when she passed out and experienced a classic near-death experience. She felt herself being whisked down a long tunnel toward a very bright white light at the end, though she never reached it as medical staff brought her back to consciousness. The experience had a profound and lasting impact on her life. For the entire day after the experience, she walked around campus feeling completely serene and at peace, experiencing a state of tranquility she had never known before. All fear of death completely disappeared. She observed the natural beauty of the campus with awe, deeply appreciating the magnificence of God's nature. The experience led to significant life changes, as Robin became a very religious, observant Orthodox Jew after previously being non-observant. She gained an unshakeable belief in God's existence and looks forward to eventual reunion with family in the afterlife. She also developed some psychic sensitivity, experiencing three premonitions that came true, including sensing a tree would fall on their house the night before it happened. The NDE remains vivid in her memory and continues to influence her spiritual life decades later.
