Michael Z was renovating his home in 2017 when he experienced a medical crisis. Having high blood pressure and forgetting his medication while doing strenuous overhead work, he injured his hand with a hammer and felt dizzy. He fainted outside and lost consciousness for 3-10 minutes according to witnesses. During this time, Michael found himself in a dark circular room filled with incredible warmth and an overwhelming sense of love, security, and well-being stronger than anything he had experienced in life. He saw a bright circular light window showing something green and rainbow-colored in the distance. Though he could not see them, he felt the presence of familiar deceased loved ones and pets guiding him with gentle hands. He was seated on something and felt he was being led somewhere when suddenly the hands let go and he returned to consciousness, finding himself in the arms of his wife and friend. Michael experienced disappointment at being pulled back from this wonderful feeling. He may have had an out-of-body experience, as he later recalled seeing the entire rescue sequence from above, though these memories only surfaced days later. Since the experience, Michael feels more empathetic and can sense people's feelings and thoughts more intensely. He also reported seeing the number 911 frequently and sensing his deceased grandfather's presence until a fire at their restaurant in 2019.
