Colecia experienced a drug-induced car accident that led to severe trauma and an out-of-body experience. She was huffing air duster while driving to pick up a friend for a party when she lost consciousness behind the wheel. Her car struck an electric pole and ended up between two trees in the woods, resulting in life-threatening injuries including internal bleeding, multiple fractures, and respiratory failure.
During the accident, Colecia found herself floating above her body, looking down at herself lying in the wreckage. She described feeling like she was underwater and coming out of herself. Initially unaware she was dying, she only realized the gravity of her situation when she tried to breathe but could not. When she sat up in her spiritual form and turned around, she saw her physical body still lying there unconscious. The separation was vivid and clear - she could observe everything from an elevated perspective. The person who found her knew her name and was calling out to her, which she credits with bringing her awareness back to the fact that she was dying. She describes making a conscious decision to return to life rather than continue in the separated state. According to the rescuer, when he opened the car door, the headrest was touching the back seat and airbags had deployed over her body. When he removed the airbag, her body immediately sat up, though she has no memory of this physical response. Colecia spent 13 days in the hospital with extensive injuries including a broken nose, fractured cheekbone, three holes in her face, fractured vertebrae, two broken ribs, and internal bleeding. The experience taught her about the distinction between soul and body - her soul felt strong and on fire while her body was broken. This led to a spiritual awakening and development of mediumship abilities, including visions and communication with deceased individuals. She now works as a spiritual life coach and creates music about her experiences.
