Karen overdosed on post-partum depression medication and was pronounced dead in the ambulance. She experienced floating above her body, watching EMTs work on her while they couldn't hear her speaking to them. She realized her mouth wasn't moving on the body below. She then moved to another dimension with extremely bright light where she was given a choice by a voice to stay or return to care for her newborn child, who she later reveals is autistic. She chose to return for her child. The experience gave her extreme awareness, prophetic abilities, healing gifts, and empathy for others. She has had multiple NDEs (1973, 1978, 2001, 2005) and the light returns during troubled times. She believes she was shown her future but those memories were taken when she returned. She feels she is meant to be an earth angel helping others discover their purpose.
