Joe was hit by a delivery van and run over on February 19, 2021. He was unconscious with a concussion and was pronounced dead in the ambulance. During this time, he found himself standing next to a wall, looking down at a paramedic working on someone on a stretcher. He experienced a giant roaring sound in his head that he will never forget. After watching for what seemed like several minutes, he suddenly returned to his body in extreme pain. Medical staff told him he should have been dead. Joe had a clear out-of-body experience watching the paramedic save his life, though he saw no lights, deceased loved ones, tunnels, or religious figures. The experience gave him absolute belief in an afterlife and strengthened his Christian faith. He now views life in a better light and feels he is a better person and Christian.
