Dan T died for approximately 3-4 minutes on October 27, 1993, following a suicide attempt, entering what he perceived as heaven or an afterlife dimension. He found himself in a beautiful setting with gardens, fountains, and small countryside hills. The inhabitants wore Greek or Roman style white robes and sandals, appearing very comfortable. Near a majestic fountain with Greek décor including seraphim, ivy and fruit, a group of beautiful women were conversing. When one blonde woman noticed him and the group turned with warm smiles, a bearded man in modern clothing (blue jeans and flannel shirt) suddenly appeared, warning them not to speak to him as it wasn't his time. This man gave Dan instructions which he cannot remember after returning to his body in intensive care.
--- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience includes death and entry into an afterlife realm, beautiful paradise-like setting with gardens and fountains, beings in white robes consistent with biblical imagery, the concept of appointed time for death ("not his time"), and a possible authority figure preventing premature entry. The beauty and peace of the realm align with biblical paradise descriptions. Unbiblical elements: The Greek/Roman aesthetic and mythology elements (seraphim mixed with Greek décor) represent syncretism not found in biblical accounts. The casual modern dress of the authority figure is unusual for biblical encounters.
