Jim, a Vietnam veteran with severe heart disease from Agent Orange exposure, experienced five near-death episodes in October 2022 when his implanted defibrillator fired multiple times. Each episode involved extreme chest pain followed by a black and white downward spiral and a black triangle with a white dot in the center. The defibrillator explosions brought him back each time with intense pain throughout his body. The monitoring machines in the Cardiac ICU recorded these events, with nurses witnessing one episode as he called for help. The spiral represented life leaving his body with a deflating sensation and concentrated left-side headache. The triangle appeared to be his version of the tunnel with light commonly reported. He interprets his survival as having an unfulfilled divine purpose.
