Christopher, a former heroin addict who had recovered but still used occasionally, injected a recreational dose at his brother's flat. He immediately found himself out of body in a vast black space that was paradoxically both pitch black and brightly lit. Without a physical form but retaining his consciousness and identity, he floated in overwhelming joy, comfort, and serenity. The experience felt more real and natural than physical life. He suddenly understood everything about existence - who we are, where we came from, and the universe's nature. The answers were remarkably simple, like "child's play," and he wondered how he had missed such obvious truths. A sky-blue dot of light appeared in the distance, growing larger and eventually exploding into brilliant blue and green rays. His eyes then sprang open on the sofa, gasping for breath, with his brother about to call emergency services after Christopher had stopped breathing for approximately three minutes with blue lips and face. He exclaimed he had something amazing to share but couldn't recall the cosmic knowledge upon returning. Four years later, a ketamine experience returned him to the same space with identical realizations, confirming the reality of the realm. Post-NDE, he gained profound life appreciation, moved to nature, lost fear of death, and believes consciousness is humanity's proper form.
