Whitney was in the ICU 48 hours after anesthesia with aspiration pneumonia, struggling to breathe. While exhausted and disoriented, unable to call for help, she began drifting peacefully on her back surrounded by a pale blue glow into a calm blue void. She wasn't alone despite not seeing anyone - all were connected. She felt profound peace, belonging, home, safety, joy, acceptance and love. She felt cared about just for being herself without needing to prove anything. She then woke to a sternal rub with a flashlight in her eyes and ICU staff moving chaotically around her after a low oxygen alarm. She felt shame, guilt and disappointment upon returning. The experience was entirely pleasant with crystal clear vision though seeing with eyes closed. In the void, time didn't exist and she was just being. She felt acceptance by the universe and connection to all. The diffused blue light was mystical. She has no fear of death now and feels she has love within and around her. This was days after the surgery in March 2021.
