During a cardiac procedure, Wallace's cardiologist accidentally punctured his heart while trying to move a stent. He required emergency surgery and doctors told his family they would know in 24 hours if he would live or die. During his out-of-body experience, he saw people dressed in white in a peaceful place with green grass and beautiful flowers. To go further required passing through a gate. The gatekeeper left and returned, telling Wallace three times it wasn't his time and he had to go back. Wallace knew if a deceased family member had brought him past the gate, he wouldn't return. He experienced a dark tunnel that grew brighter as he approached the light. He saw his past and personal future scenes. People told him never to look at the light, but he found the experience peaceful. After returning, he developed ESP abilities, sensing spirits and knowing about deaths before being informed. He became closer to God, volunteers helping those in need, and shares his story though some doubt NDEs can be remembered.
