Rebekah had been fighting seizures for two years when she experienced her NDE. While on the phone with a friend after a hard day, she had a seizure that caused severe pain in her left arm. She found herself on the ground, unable to move, with her body going cold. She saw herself from above, noting the laptop cord wrapped around her neck. She then soared through clouds, feeling she was with an eagle that had been euthanized weeks earlier at her veterinary clinic. The clouds opened to reveal a beautiful green valley where she felt incredible happiness and the presence of loved ones, though she couldn't see them. She experienced intense feelings of calm, comfort, love and warmth. She saw darkness and light, witnessed scenes from her life including things she had done and wanted to do. When her daughter came into view, she realized the impact her death would have and chose to return by focusing on the pain in her arm. Since the experience, she has no fear of death but worries about those left behind.
