Xiao Yu experienced a severe sudden illness in 2018 that resulted in a 14-day coma in the ICU, during which multiple resuscitations were performed. The soul arrived at a hill with meadows filled with brilliant tiny flowers and a brick house at the foot where Xiao Yu had lived with grandmother from ages 5 to 13. This peaceful place brought feelings of ease and comfort. The scene then shifted to a dim greenish warehouse-like building crowded with people lined up in sequence, marching forward silently. At this moment came the realization of having died, accompanied by complete relief and indifference toward children, parents, and all earthly concerns. The people were directed by uniformed officials to enter a lobby and wait for numbers to be called, similar to waiting at a bank. One official instructed not to walk about and to come forward when called. A woman behind, whose face remained unseen, boasted about her former wealth, fancy cars, and mansion, criticizing others' clothes. The crowd and officials scolded her as a home-wrecking mistress who deserved her death in a car accident. When asked for identification, Xiao Yu was told "No, not you! You are the one who did not deserve to die yet." This announcement was broadcast repeatedly before consciousness was plunged into blankness. Multiple resuscitations occurred during the coma, with chaotic beeping from ventilator and monitoring machines in the ICU. After discharge, Xiao Yu was wheelchair-bound with a catheter, unable to walk or urinate normally. Religious elders later explained the return was due to unfulfilled purpose and karmic obligations. Xiao Yu miraculously recovered completely, able to run fast and function normally. The experience transformed an atheist into someone who acknowledges karma's reality while maintaining skepticism about God.
