Dr. Sona B, a physician, experienced carbon monoxide poisoning while taking a hot shower in a small, unventilated bathroom in Mumbai, India. She was visiting her grand uncle's house where a gas geyser had been recently installed. The bathroom had no windows or ventilation fan. During the shower, she became increasingly weak with her limbs turning to jelly. She heard a telepathic voice urgently telling her to "SIT DOWN RIGHT NOW AS SLOWLY AS YOU CAN!" with a vision showing that if she didn't comply, she would fall, crack her skull, and bleed to death.
Following the voice's instruction, she tried to sit gently but fell due to weakness, hitting her head on the floor. Instantly, she was taken up into light on what felt like an 85-degree escalator going up. She was thrilled and knew she was dying but didn't care, having read extensively about NDEs on NDERF. Her cousin believed she had simply fallen asleep from exhaustion, never understanding the true nature of what occurred. A neurologist later confirmed her symptoms matched carbon monoxide poisoning, specifically "Gas Geyser Syndrome" common in India.
