Sinnaeve was 21 years old when she experienced an NDE after smoking cannabis mixed with alcohol at a party. Having never smoked before, she had a severe reaction involving sweating, nausea, and loss of consciousness. She fell in a hallway trying to reach the bathroom and experienced clinical death with friends attempting to revive her.
During her NDE, she traveled through a dark tunnel toward an ultra-bright, white, scintillating light. Once in the light, she was welcomed by her deceased maternal grandfather who had died when she was 13. They reviewed her life together, and she experienced unconditional love incomparable to earthly feelings. Her grandfather revealed a family secret about her paternal grandmother being in darkness due to an unrevealed secret. She and her grandfather existed as luminous, shimmering vapor rather than solid forms. She felt completely at peace with no sense of time passing. A golden line appeared that she wanted to cross, but her grandfather warned her that crossing it meant no return. She could see her body in the hallway with friends trying to revive her. Her grandfather explained that her earthly mission wasn't over and that her 18-month-old son needed her. He told her that from their vantage point, they could see and know everything happening on earth. Upon returning to her body, she experienced it like diving from a high diving board. She awoke with friends panicked above her, unable to breathe or speak initially. It took 10 minutes before she could fully recover. Since the experience, her intuition has become extremely developed and she frequently enjoys astral projections. Death no longer frightens her as she is convinced of an afterlife.
