Eight-year-old Schon, diagnosed with B-Cell Leukemia, was in the hospital on December 23, 2005. After asking his mother to pray and get him a drink, he began convulsing and having a seizure as a reaction to chemotherapy. His mother pressed the emergency button as he flatlined and emergency doctors rushed in while his mother fainted. He briefly saw himself from above, then transitioned to a white, glowing space like an endless void with no shadows or physical form. The light felt like heated water in a jacuzzi - comforting, peaceful, free, and euphoric. He had no body but could "look" around, feeling like a floating camera with 360-degree movement. He describes feeling amazing, with perfect vision despite normally needing glasses. He experienced incredible peace and the sensation of being in a jacuzzi of light. Time seemed to stop or lose all meaning. He felt a sense of universal understanding and connection, though specific details were hard to explain. Since the experience, he has high emotional intelligence, intuition, and often feels he can sense entities or feel places. He completely lost his fear of death and has spent years trying unsuccessfully to recreate the feelings through various means.
