On August 17, 2016, Leonard felt strange chest sensations after work. He drove himself to the hospital and collapsed immediately upon entering the ER doors, going into cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated twice at the first hospital, had a stent placed, then was flown to a trauma hospital where he coded two more times. After stabilizing, he coded again and was pronounced dead on August 18th. His family was notified of his death, memorial plans began, and his employer started insurance procedures. He remained clinically dead for an entire day.
During his death, Leonard traveled through an amber tunnel with people reaching toward him from all sides. He then found himself floating down a gloomy highway at night, passing the Brewery District landmark in Columbus. He suddenly shot up to space where he observed Earth from a distance with what appeared to be a tree-like energy circulation protruding from the planet's top. To his left, he saw a spiral of stars resembling a wormhole (later identified as matching the Andromeda galaxy). He existed without form, just pure awareness, understanding what God meant by "I AM." On August 19th, while memorial preparations continued, medical staff discovered a faint pulse. Despite only a 23% survival chance and suffering 26 strokes while in a medically induced coma, Leonard survived. He awoke feeling unprecedented peace and bliss with no concerns or anger. However, he developed an overwhelming ability to feel emotions from everyone globally and began having prophetic visions during meditation, including accurately foreseeing train derailments, mass shootings, and geopolitical events months in advance. Leonard lost his job of 20 years, his home, and had to completely rebuild his life. He experiences the world's collective emotional pain, which can be exhausting, but remains optimistic despite permanent physical disabilities including nerve damage and brain injury.
