A woman underwent Hijama (wet cupping) treatment with a doctor. She was very scared as he applied suction cups and made cuts. Suddenly, she found herself in a completely dark room with no sense of time or location, floating without any ground beneath her feet. She lost all memory, including her own name and identity, repeatedly asking questions that went unanswered. She then saw a tiny, distant light and became overwhelmed with fear. As she remembered her mother and began calling for her, she gradually remembered who she was. The dark room then filled with colors, creating a whirlwind or vortex effect around her. She began hearing strange voices that turned into screams and cries calling her name, including her mother's voice. With difficulty, she opened her eyes to find herself lying on the ground rather than in the chair, with her mother holding her feet elevated while the shocked doctor looked on in fear. She experienced severe chest and hand pain, feeling as if a ton of weight was on her body preventing her from standing. After a few minutes, the pain subsided and she could stand. She felt her heart had stopped and then restarted during the experience. The experience left her unchanged in her religious practices as a devout Muslim.
