Yi-Ming, a 30-year-old, experienced poisoning that led to loss of consciousness and life-threatening symptoms requiring emergency resuscitation. The individual experienced difficulty breathing, hazy consciousness, stopped blood flow, and whole body coldness. Remarkably, chronic shoulder and spine pain that had persisted for years completely disappeared during the event.
During the NDE, Yi-Ming experienced floating upward in complete darkness, feeling engulfed and flying through what seemed like a black hole. The experience was characterized by being unemotional, immobile, and mute while flying. Life review images appeared rapidly, showing scenes from adulthood backward to childhood, then accelerating to show unfamiliar pictures. The journey continued to a cosmic realm where galaxies and unknown stars were visible. Suddenly, a heavy downward pull occurred, sending Yi-Ming back through the black hole like a meteor at full speed toward the ground. The individual observed flickering lights while falling at high speed, with everything appearing blurry. Vaguely aware of being above the ground during the descent, consciousness was lost upon impact. Medical resuscitation occurred at the hospital, with a woman's voice confirming "He is responding, he is back." The stomach discomfort experienced was later identified as resulting from tracheal intubation and stomach pumping procedures. Recovery was difficult, with complete physical and mental exhaustion lasting several days. Yi-Ming reported a second experience at an internet cafe after two days of continuous gaming, involving out-of-body sensations and heightened auditory perception, but this appears less medically critical than the poisoning event.
