William, a 15-year-old boy, experienced a severe motorcycle accident in 1978 while attempting a dangerous jump at approximately 70 mph. Despite hearing a warning voice, he ignored it and hit a rut, causing him to land head-first and lose consciousness. Two witnesses saw the accident and observed him motionless for about 5 minutes with no signs of breathing or life.
During his unconscious state, William had an out-of-body experience where he saw his twisted body on the ground. An angel appeared - described as a small girl-like figure with a crown - warning him that dark entities were approaching. He saw three evil spirits in black robes coming to capture him. The angel took his hand and they flew upward through space, passing stars and planets in a tunnel of light until reaching heaven. There he met two beings at a podium with a large book containing names and dates. They showed him his name was scheduled for much later in the book. He was then taken to God, who appeared as a 10-foot tall figure in white robes. God reviewed his entire life, deemed him good, and showed him a future vision of himself paralyzed with a son caring for him. William observed specific details including the two witnesses standing 50 yards away, then approaching closer, their discussion about whether he was dead, and their reactions when he finally took a breath. He also experienced God healing his neck with crackling and popping sounds, though leaving one thing out of place as a reminder. Upon return, William awoke taking a deep breath as the witnesses jumped back in shock. At the hospital, x-rays of his neck mysteriously appeared whited-out three times, which William attributes to God's healing touch. He suffered lasting neck pain but avoided paralysis. The experience profoundly affected his faith and gave him occasional premonitions about others' deaths.
