On February 17, 2016, Julie was strangled to death by her ex-husband who held her against a wall by her neck until she died. Her body fell to concrete floor, head bouncing off it. He tried unsuccessfully to revive her, then went to check on children while figuring out what to do with her body. She reports being dead for 30 minutes. During this time, she saw light then moved through the wall, hovering over her family. She initially thought she was alive but quickly realized she wasn't and fought to return to her body, then darkness until awakening. Since returning, she is stronger, smarter, and feels out of place. She went from stay-at-home mom with waitressing history to running all distribution operations for an eight-billion-dollar industry with 75 people reporting to her. When meditating, she can return to the light but finds it frightening as decades seem to pass in minutes. She still feels the light within her and describes herself as a completely different, happy person. Her emotions have made a complete 180-degree turn.
