On March 5, 1988, Fatih was in a severe auto accident and was announced dead at the scene. He experienced an out-of-body perspective, watching from above as people tried to extract his blood-covered body from the crashed car. He was surrounded by incredibly bright light with a peaceful, warm feeling beyond earthly description. The colors were like a rainbow but much brighter and more vivid. He found himself in a beautiful place with bright green hills and heard soft, otherworldly music. The experience left him with no confusion - all his senses were heightened and he felt complete love, belonging, and peace. He woke up days later in the hospital with significant memory loss but retained perfect recall of his NDE. His brother had been contacted to attend his funeral but he had returned to life. The experience eliminated his fear of death and solidified his belief in a loving God. He now feels people more deeply and can sometimes sense future events.
