Sarah underwent a routine hysterectomy under general anesthesia. During recovery from blood transfusion complications, she crashed unexpectedly. She observed the chaos from above, seeing medical staff panicking around her body. She traveled through a dark tunnel while floating upward toward a light. She encountered her deceased infant son who appeared as a 6-year-old with blonde hair, and her grandfather who had died when she was 9. Both appeared younger than at death. She then saw Jesus, who appeared as traditionally depicted but with darker features. Jesus told her it was not yet her time and she must return. She experienced overwhelming love and saw heaven with golden streets and vibrant green grass. Medical complications included heart rate dropping to 20s, body temperature of 95 degrees, kidney failure, and dangerously low blood pressure. She later discovered the malfunctioning catheter may have triggered shock.
