Nine-year-old Lija experienced a severe asthma attack at home after the family had just moved to a new house. She woke in respiratory distress and found her mother, then collapsed in complete cardiac arrest in the kitchen. With no phone connection available, a visiting friend ran house to house seeking help while her mother performed CPR for 20-30 minutes until the ambulance arrived. The paramedics administered two adult-sized doses of adrenaline and rushed her to the hospital for defibrillation.
During her cardiac arrest, Lija left her body and hovered peacefully above, watching her distressed mother without understanding the upset since she felt so calm. She experienced a life review showing all her life events in a peaceful way with no judgment. A spiritual being she calls an angel stayed to support her mother while guiding Lija toward a tunnel. Through the tunnel, she was greeted by a group of souls she recognized as friends from a previous existence, though she knew no one who had died in this life. She was then guided to God/Source, experiencing overwhelming love, peace, and light. God told her three times she needed to go back, finally explaining it was "to help people to heal." She was shot back into her body at lightning speed, possibly during defibrillation. Lija observed her mother performing CPR and later learned her mother also felt a spiritual presence guiding her in the resuscitation efforts. She could see the medical team of 20 doctors and nurses working on her with defibrillators. She clearly recalled the souls greeting her and God's specific message about her life purpose. The experience was temporarily forgotten but recovered in vivid detail during breathwork at age 20. Since the NDE, Lija has experienced multiple near-death situations with spiritual intervention, developed abilities to communicate with souls passing over, and dedicated her life to helping others heal through psychology and counseling. She maintains strong spiritual practices and feels continuously supported by the spiritual realm.
