Aleene K experienced four separate NDEs throughout her life, each occurring during life-threatening medical emergencies. At nine months old in 1950, she was found not breathing and turning blue in her crib, rushed to hospital where a doctor used the newly developed epinephrine to revive her. At age 14 in 1963, she drowned after being thrown into a lake as a prank, sinking into darkness before seeing a huge warming light that beckoned her, feeling total peace and contentment before being resuscitated on the pier. In 1980 at age 31, during Hurricane David, she went into anaphylactic shock from a codeine injection for appendicitis, left her body and hovered at the ceiling watching the emergency unfold below, observing the medical staff scrambling with limited resources during the storm before a nurse administered epinephrine. Her most profound experience occurred on February 17, 2017 at age 68, when she died in her sleep and transitioned to what she calls the New World or rapture, being in the presence of God/Source and seeing a New Universe, receiving the message that 'consciousness is Eternal... changes everything.' She experienced major depression afterward because she did not want to return to earthly life. Through these experiences, she gained profound insights about the eternal nature of consciousness and the purpose of earthly existence, ultimately writing a book called REBIRTH to help others understand NDEs.
