On November 9, 2013, Bryan fell from a six-foot ladder and landed on the back of his head, knocking him unconscious. Initially experiencing complete darkness and quiet, he was then greeted by a kind, loving voice. He entered a brightly lit area where he was shown the fall he had experienced and saw several video-like snippets of past events from his life. He found himself in a circular dome of colors, like being inside a soap bubble, with people sitting around the outside. Though he couldn't recognize faces clearly, he felt great love coming from them. The bubble was like a planetarium where he sat in a comfortable reclining chair viewing snippets of random acts of kindness he had performed. When he asked about the bad things he had done, the voice replied that God didn't see those because "I took them for you." Throughout the experience, he felt incredible peace, joy, and harmony with the universe. He was awakened when his dog licked his face. The experience left him hyper-manic for several months with sleep difficulties and significant weight loss. He underwent extensive medical testing which showed no brain injury. Eventually returning to normal, he retained increased kindness and spirituality, no longer fearing death and having absolute faith in all aspects of life.
