In spring 1987, Larry was riding his motorcycle in Tulsa when a Ford Granada ran a red light at approximately 50 mph, striking him at an intersection. Upon impact, he thought "This is going to really hurt," but instantly found himself outside his body, watching his lifeless form on the highway below. He felt no pain and existed separate from his physical body, confused but aware that his mind or consciousness had separated from his physical form.
Larry hovered above the scene as paramedics arrived and attempted resuscitation. He watched them cut off his shirt and through his left pants leg to assess leg and ankle injuries. They strapped him to a backboard on a gurney and continued working while driving to the hospital. From his vantage point above, Larry observed one paramedic place his belongings in a specific location to keep them out of the way. During this time, he experienced profound peace unlike anything he had known before, accompanied by a comforting presence. He then heard the words "It's not your time yet. You have more to do." Immediately upon hearing this, Larry returned to his body, struggling to breathe and experiencing tremendous pain. When the lead paramedic began searching for his belongings, Larry correctly told him they were in a cabinet to his right behind his head. The paramedic was stunned that Larry knew this, as he had been unconscious and unresponsive during transport. This experience began Larry's 32-year journey of metaphysical exploration and education in near-death experiences, fundamentally changing his life direction from one driven by circumstances to one with genuine purpose. He continues to share his experience to help others understand these profound encounters.
