He was told his purpose was to eliminate bad choices, though he might still make wrong ones. The voice emphasized understanding how everything interconnects over knowing specific outcomes. Jim saw glimpses of positive futures including grandchildren on a Ferris wheel. Upon return, medical staff noted his unusual effect on doctors who spent excessive time with him, describing a special radiance. The experience fundamentally changed Jim's understanding of time, quantum reality, and interconnectedness.
