Seventeen-year-old Jenny became ill at school with flu-like symptoms including body aches and extreme exhaustion. After walking home and telling her mother she felt sick, she went to bed for a couple of hours. Upon getting up to take Advil in the bathroom, she collapsed and stopped breathing. Her mother heard her hit the floor and found her not breathing on the bathroom floor. During this time, Jenny experienced herself sitting cross-legged in the top corner of the bathroom, looking down at her body lying on the floor. She observed her mother frantically trying to revive her by shaking her shoulders and gently slapping her face. Jenny noticed the look of panic and fear on her mother's face that she had never seen before. While out of body, she felt a profound sense of lightness, as if emptied of all the heaviness she normally carried. She experienced great calm and peace during the episode. After beginning to breathe again, Jenny felt an incredible sense of wellness and health that she described as the best she ever felt multiplied by a hundred. She knew with certainty that she was completely fine and no longer sick. A subsequent doctor visit found nothing wrong and could not explain the illness or incident. The experience left Jenny with a lasting sense that love is the most important thing in life and an enhanced appreciation for nature's beauty and detail.
