Seven-year-old Jeff experienced a severe asthma attack that required emergency hospitalization. After receiving medication that felt like general anesthesia, he fell asleep and stopped breathing, experiencing clinical death. During his NDE, Jeff found himself floating above his body in the hospital room, observing his mother in distress and medical staff working on him. He then experienced a confusing period in darkness with other confused souls before encountering a brilliant light filled with overwhelming love and understanding. Jeff underwent a life review where he experienced both his feelings and those he affected through his actions. He met a feminine guide who helped him decide whether to return to his current life or start over. He was shown glimpses of his future life, including specific events that would occur if he chose to return. Some of these events have since come to pass, including his living situation and career path. The experience profoundly affected Jeff's spiritual beliefs and understanding of life's purpose. He reported feeling incredibly loved and valued during the experience, with a sense of being "home" in the light. Upon returning, Jeff experienced increased spiritual awareness and sensitivity, though relationships have been challenging due to the difficulty others have understanding his experience.
