Gary was hospitalized with a very large Saddle Pulmonary Embolism lodged between his heart and lungs, a condition that is nearly always fatal. He woke in his hospital bed without any energy and could barely alert the medical staff. When they responded with a crash cart and multiple staff members, Gary left his body. He found himself drifting in space above a hard flat surface, suspended without a body but fully conscious. He observed a sky filled with millions of individually colored drops like multicolored candies, moving from right to left across the sky. He could see each one individually despite being far above them. The drops were moving toward a point where they fell like a waterfall into a large gap in the ground below. Gary could move just by thinking about being somewhere different. He moved closer to the edge and peered over but couldn't see the bottom as millions of these candies fell down. The experience felt amazing, peaceful, and connected. He experienced incredible joy and felt at home. He was away for what seemed like a short time but was actually 2-3 hours. Medical staff had to remain in his room the entire morning, watching him continuously for 4-5 hours during this medical event.
