Edward experienced a heart attack around age 20 in 2012 while in a Manhattan park with three friends. His heart hurt and breathing became difficult, but not wanting to make a scene, he laid back on the grass accepting whatever would happen. He then felt an extremely painful, strong force pulling him under the ground, as if dragging him to hell with strength a million times stronger than gravity. He fought the force by moving his body/soul left and right, but the more he fought, the more unbearable the pain became. Realizing he was dead and experiencing pain in the spirit realm, he gave up fighting and relaxed.
Looking up at the clouds, he saw a beautiful bright light looking directly at him, 10,000 times brighter than the sun yet comfortable to look at. The light was literally made of love and he knew it was Jesus Christ himself. Everything he ever wanted was with this light. He felt unworthy to look at such perfect, glorious light. Telepathically he told God he had never done anything for Him and couldn't go with Him, asking whoever would take him to stop the pain. His spirit then left his body and floated to cloud height. From above, he saw his lifeless body with friends calling his name trying to wake him. The surroundings appeared in beautifully intense, bright-sparkly, vivid colors. He received a complete life flashback from birth to death, realizing everything in earthly life is recorded. In a teardrop form, he fell back into his body as EMTs were putting him on a gurney at 12:10 am. He woke in the hospital with an IV, telling doctors he saw God, though no one believed him. Later, he went to a church, knelt before the cross, and wept as he repented. He felt a hand touch his right shoulder though no one was there. The experience completely changed him into a more humble, loving person who tries to follow Jesus's teachings.
