Chao Y, approximately 5-6 years old, experienced an NDE during an allergic reaction to penicillin administered via IV for a cold with fever. Despite having taken penicillin pills before without severe reaction, the IV administration caused him to feel extremely cold and unable to move under heavy blankets. He experienced a classic out-of-body experience, floating above his body and observing his mother and nurse attending to him. Their voices sounded hollow and incomprehensible. He then traveled through a tunnel at high speed to a place filled with soft, bright white light that didn't hurt his eyes. The space felt vast and boundless, with gentle white light even beneath his feet that didn't feel solid. The environment was silent and empty of beings, yet he felt completely at home and experienced incredible peace and happiness. The entire experience was brief, and he was suddenly pulled back into his body with a sensation like souls being ripped. Upon returning, he regained control of his body and no longer felt cold. The experience occurred at the hospital where his mother worked as a pharmacist, and he retained vivid memories of the treatment ward where the incident occurred.
