On September 23, 1976, 16-year-old Stefania underwent open-heart surgery for a congenital defect (DIA). Despite never having symptoms, doctors insisted on preventive surgery. During resuscitation phase after surgery, while in intensive care, she left her body and floated weightlessly below the ceiling. She observed her intubated body on the hospital bed from an energetically elevated position in a different dimension. She experienced infinite blissfulness and happiness, floating in blessed space where she WAS the blessed space. She had extremely alive and vigilant consciousness with immediate knowing different from earthly thinking. She watched doctors making "a big deal" trying to get her back, with other surgeons arriving from other wards to help. She didn't want to return from the soft celestial light, rarefied and full of peace, expressing unconditional bliss. She knew she was outside time and space, experiencing the fact of existing. Though she didn't want to return to the body and earthly difficulties, they brought her back. Upon awakening, she could speak immediately (unusual after such surgery) and felt compelled to help a woman in the next bed who couldn't speak, experiencing profound love and compassion.
