This is Samieh's second account of the same 1999 experience. While traveling to her hometown during a hot summer car trip without air conditioning, she felt sleepy and laid her head on her aunt's lap. She had an absence seizure and stopped breathing. She doesn't remember looking at her body but recalls being in a dark cave-like place where she was standing on nothing, which seemed odd. She asked many questions that went unanswered and wondered if it was a prison. She was confused until she saw a bright pleasant light at the end of this place. The light stopped her worrying about where she was or what would happen. She was then jolted back into her body, waking in the hospital to her freaked-out parents. Months later, she began hearing sounds echoing in her mind that helped with math problems and prevented sleep. She was scared and no one believed her. She begged the voice to stop and it did, which she now regrets. She had an out-of-body experience in 2012 where she viewed her body from above and all around.
