Paige V was being choked during a criminal attack in 2000 and was losing consciousness when she experienced being sucked backward into a gray tunnel. There was a flash of white light, and then she found herself floating in a beautiful blue sky with no clouds. She lost all physical sensations - couldn't smell, taste, or breathe, and had no sense of touch - yet felt incredibly peaceful and calm, describing it as the most wonderful feeling she had ever experienced. In this state of supreme happiness and peace, she heard a disembodied voice say "Not yet." She then woke back in her body, initially unable to see physically as everything was gray and foggy. She literally had to "drink in oxygen" and gradually regained her sight, then hearing, then touch. The experience was characterized by overwhelming peace, unity with the world, and incredible joy. She felt that nothing in earthly life mattered compared to that state of pure happiness, serenity and peace. Since the experience, she has had prophetic dreams, sensed when her mother died, felt the presence of a beloved pet when it died, and developed premonitions of negative events. She no longer fears death and feels disappointed that she had to return to her body.
