Michael M was hit by a pickup truck as a child in 1975 while walking on a snow bank. After slipping onto the road, he watched the truck drive over him before losing consciousness. He then found himself floating near the ceiling of the ambulance, observing paramedics cutting off his brown shirt and working frantically on his body below. He moved to the passenger seat area and tried talking to the driver, commenting on familiar locations like his cub scout meeting place, but wasn't heard. An invisible male voice then called him back, asking how he felt. Looking at his body, Michael replied he felt "stupid" before being pulled back into his physical form. He sustained severe injuries including a concussion, broken bones, and internal injuries. The experience left him with enhanced abilities to read people, prophetic visions of future events, and absolutely no fear of death. He is completely certain that consciousness survives bodily death and considers the funeral industry a scam. Years later, seeing a TV show about NDEs, he recognized his experience exactly.
