At age five, Anthony fell and hit his head on concrete steps at school during a lunch break. He experienced immediate separation from his body, floating above the scene with complete peace and no negative emotions. From his elevated vantage point, he witnessed other children huddled around his body and observed school administrators moving his body closer to a trash dumpster. This observation later proved significant in a court deposition where he testified about the body being moved, which confused the judge given his young age. While floating, he began to rise past large trees before being pulled back down. He briefly regained consciousness in his mother's car en route to the hospital, then spent several days in a semi-coma. The experience left him with a profound sense of peace unlike anything before or since, and a feeling of having been sent back for a purpose.
