During a motorcycle accident where Lacee was slammed to the ground, she left her body and found herself in a starry tunnel. She knew that going all the way through would mean not returning, experiencing no fear or pain but infinite love. While fighting not to reach the tunnel's end due to her children, she observed the crash site from above. A light appeared at the tunnel's end as the pull grew stronger. Suddenly she entered a field of tall, beautiful green grass undulating in waves without wind. The sky was pink/rosy/purple, creating a paradise-like Garden of Eden sensation. Her husband walked toward her through the grass, and without speaking, she understood he had died. They communicated telepathically as he let her know he would wait for her but she needed to care for their boys. Lacee then returned to her body in overwhelming pain. Despite serious injuries including nine broken ribs, hemopneumothorax, fractured vertebra, broken shoulder blades, and severe sprains, she got up and walked, afraid she would die if she lay still. When told her husband died in the accident, she already knew from their encounter. The experience led to decreased materialism, increased flexibility, and attraction to meditation and Buddhism. She gained the understanding that life is about perpetuating love and that their love is eternal.
