Kit experienced a massive brain hemorrhage with five aneurysms, flatlining in the ambulance requiring CPR. After emergency brain surgery with partial brain removal, she spent time in a coma. During her death experience, after everything faded to black like a camera shutter closing, the shutter reopened to reveal a transformed reality. She found herself in a pristine park with perfectly manicured grass, a flawless oak tree, and a vibrant blue sky that seemed alive. Standing on a brilliant white pathway that curved ahead, she felt God's love and acceptance in what she knew was Heaven. Her deceased father appeared looking perfect, healthy and happy. He stopped her from going around the pathway's curve, saying "You need to go back. It's not your time yet." Before returning, Kit witnessed lines of diverse people - gay and straight, different colors and religions, handicapped, young and old - all holding hands showing love and forgiveness toward one another. Upon returning to her heavy, pain-filled body, she was forever changed. Kit developed abilities to communicate with spirits, particularly her father, who bring comfort to grieving loved ones. Her religious beliefs shifted from judgmental conservative Christianity to becoming a Spiritualist, more open, forgiving and accepting. She appeared on "I Survived, Beyond and Back" and holds seminars to help others understand there's nothing to fear about death.
