Andrew fell down stairs on his back and could not breathe. He knew he was dying and felt completely calm. After collapsing, he found himself floating above his face-down body, surrounded by purple light that filled the atmosphere like an illuminated cloud. He felt no pain and thought the fall had been a dream. He was pulled into a dark tunnel where hundreds of people lined the sides, shouting at him with shocked expressions to "go back" and that it wasn't his time. Frightened by their intensity, he backed out of the tunnel and heard/felt a loud POP as he returned to his body. The pain flooded back and he was hospitalized with severe back bruising. The experience confirmed his belief in the afterlife.
