At age 14, Taylor was in a head-on car collision and was critically injured while others had minor injuries. She was revived by paramedics in the ambulance after clinical death. Initially, she experienced a delayed perception where her mind was stuck in the moment before impact while simultaneously hearing screaming and metal twisting. She then got tunnel vision with darkness and sparkles before her vision disappeared completely while still hearing voices, crying, and sirens. A roaring sound like a freight train mixed with lightning grew louder until suddenly her vision returned in vivid HD colors she had never seen before. She found herself in an unearthly place with two giant atmospheres split like a split screen - the left side had bright sunny colors (yellow, light blue, white) with wispy clouds, while the right had deep sunset colors (red, gold, burnt orange, dark purple, black). A tall white column on the right side extended beyond sight. She was floating at the entrance, unable to go forward, experiencing overwhelming euphoria and happiness beyond any earthly feeling, surrounded by love and warmth. Hearing her friend Jessica's voice, she remembered her body and initially wanted to stay in this perfect place but thought of her mother's sadness and casually decided to return. She then experienced going back and forth between the euphoric place and her body until reaching the hospital.
