At age 12, Susanne was skiing when her scarf became caught in a forcefully spinning tow rope, asphyxiating her as she was dragged up the entire ski hill. Her head struck every pole, and she lost consciousness after hitting the booth at the top. During her NDE, she was approached by a Being of great light whom she initially thought was her father, accompanied by two angels. The Being had beautiful hands that lifted and carried her to a place that looked much like Earth but more beautiful. She met various councils of Beings in robes who discussed her request to return, requiring higher levels of authority. She was shown places containing levels of knowledge where everything had perfect system and purpose. Despite the overwhelming love she felt, she repeatedly requested to return after hearing her mother's scream. Eventually Jesus touched both her and a hand that reached through mountains and clouds, granting permission to return with a warning about the pain she would experience. She awoke in the snow with blood, torn neck skin, and head injuries. It took 45 minutes for help to arrive due to the blizzard. At the hospital, nuns called her a miracle as she was conscious and talking despite her injuries. She recovered and walked again within weeks.
