Richard fell off a ladder and went to the emergency room where he was given pain medication despite warning staff about his Gilbert's Syndrome (fatty liver disease). The injection caused a severe reaction, and 90 minutes later he was experiencing nausea, light-headedness, profuse sweating, and drooling. At his family farm, he went into full seizure mode for 20-30 seconds and was clinically dead for 10-15 seconds with no breathing and very faint or no pulse. His sister slapped his face hard enough to leave a mark, bringing him back.
During his death experience, Richard felt himself flying and saw his body surrounded by an electrical blue force. When he tried to touch his thumb and index finger, they appeared to touch but were actually an inch apart. He told his sister he was floating away. He saw the locust tree tops along the north fence line, then took one last breath and was gone. He went from seeing the trees to total darkness - a complete black void where he was floating. His sisters' voices became fainter as he floated away. Then he transitioned from total darkness to a bright white light, surrounded by clouds that seemed to unfold from the center of the light. He felt no pain, unending love, and perfect peace while floating toward the light. A voice said "It's not your time!" and he was pushed back into the darkness. Richard observed the locust tree tops along the north fence line before leaving his body. He also had enhanced vision during the experience, seeing perfectly without his glasses (which he had worn since 1974). He heard his sisters' voices growing faint then loud again as he returned. The experience left Richard without fear of death, with sensory overload to smells (especially spices), sensitivity to bright LED lights, and frequent dreams of deceased relatives warning of future events. He knows he was sent back for an unfinished purpose.
