In 1973, Dy-Wen experienced a near-death experience resulting from carbon monoxide poisoning while taking a shower. The gas cylinder tank had insufficient oxygen, causing partial combustion and gas leakage into the shower room. She lost consciousness and was clinically dead for approximately 10 minutes.
Immediately after death, she found herself in pitch-black darkness, perceiving herself as having no body, existing only as an atom-like consciousness. She could move at varying speeds, from slow movement to lightning-fast flight, gliding over treetops and mountains in the darkness. She discovered she had sharpened vision without needing her glasses and could differentiate trees and dirt without restriction. The experience of flying eventually became heavy and tiring, and when she wanted to sit down, she realized she had no physical form. Upon wondering where she was, the thought "I have a God" suddenly appeared in her mind. Simultaneously, Jesus emerged in the light and quickly walked toward her. She observed him in detail: about 7 feet tall, wearing a long white robe down to his feet with long sleeves, thick black hair cut just below his ears in a contemporary style, and a long face with short bushy eyebrows. He appeared serious without smiling and gestured for her to come forward with his left hand. When she prepared to move toward him, he read her mind and turned around, the light surrounding him going off. She then saw an illuminated window that she interpreted as "the window of the soul" and felt powerfully that this was her home. The moment she thought about returning to her body, she was instantly back, experiencing re-entry as entering into a dense object.
