During neck surgery under general anesthesia, Missy went hypothermic and believes she died. She suddenly found herself fully aware, standing in a golden, hazy desert-type area at the edge of heaven. She saw walls like those surrounding an earthly city and experienced indescribable gold and turquoise-blue colors. She felt no pain, worry, or fear, and had no thoughts of her children - only peace and beauty. She saw Jesus/God in the distance yet felt their presence all around her, enveloping her in love. Her deceased father and grandmother told her in one voice it wasn't her time. She saw Christ's eyes briefly as He instilled the thought that everything would be okay. She awoke on the operating table crying, wanting to return. A nurse believed her and comforted her, asking if she had children, which made her remember why she needed to stay.
